It is no secret that the number of regulatory requirements are having a significant impact on the way in which organisations need to manage their reference data. However, Marion Leslie makes a very key point when she states that “reference data needs to be managed not just for compliance, […] but also in an enterprise-wide fashion.” Not only will it become impossible to collect and use this ever-expanding universe of content without a robust and secure data management system, but it will become increasingly important to adopt an open and transparent enterprise-wide data management strategy in order to reap the wider benefits across the organisation.

Fundamentally, data is only useful if used dynamically to provide insight. Our vision of data management is one that integrates the whole data supply chain to deliver a service defined by delivery SLAs – providing users with the data they want, when and how they want it.
