Moneyfarm, one of Europe’s leading digital wealth managers, has announced Dan Giddings as its new Head of Business Development UK, starting in June 2021.

The appointment comes as Moneyfarm surpasses £1.4bn AuM from over 50k customers. Giddings joins with over 20 years’ experience in financial services and will be responsible for expanding customer acquisition beyond D2C through partnership opportunities.

Dan said: “Moneyfarm has been enjoying a remarkable pace of growth, perhaps accelerated by Coronavirus, but largely thanks to top class investment performance and a fantastic customer experience. Already a B2B success story in Italy, I can't wait to showcase the capabilities and opportunities to partners in the UK."

He joins after 18 months at competitor Wealthify, where he focused on partnering with banks and financial advice firms. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at BNY Mellon as Partnerships Development Director. Giddings has achieved CFP, IMC, the Diploma in Financial Planning and the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management.

Giovanni Daprà, CEO and co-founder of Moneyfarm said: “Dan is a perfect fit for our business. He understands our clients, our products and shares our passion to extend the reach of investing. He’ll bring a fresh perspective and be able to focus exclusively on bringing the Moneyfarm proposition to a range of partner firms for mutual benefit.

“We already have a wealth of knowledge and experience across both D2C and B2B. To date, our biggest partnership is with Poste Italiane and their 35 million customer base. The logical next step is to bring our expertise and experience to B2B partners in the UK. We have the resource and capability to rapidly deploy world-class digital wealth services to our partners, helping them acquire new customers, nurture existing relationships, and secure a new line of revenue with lower costs and lower risks."
