Paragon Application Systems (Paragon), an independent testing services provider, has tapped Steve Gilde to be its director of global product marketing.

In this role, Gilde develops and implements sales and growth strategies for Paragon’s next generation payments and testing solutions. Paragon’s solutions help financial institutions, major interchanges, software providers and payment networks improve efficiencies, lower costs and increase code coverage.

“Steve’s industry knowledge and expertise is a great asset to Paragon as we continue to introduce, implement and support automatic, continuous testing methods around the globe,” said Jim Perry, CEO of Paragon. “As the number of payment methods continue to multiply and become increasingly complex and vulnerable, testing methods must also evolve. Paragon has been leading a testing revolution designed to provide organizations with these next generation solutions. Steve will be responsible for developing the product and go to market strategies that will equip more prospects and customers to successfully leverage these solutions.”

Gilde has more than 30 years of experience in the payments technology industry. He has worked in various roles for a number of leading financial institutions and solution providers, including ACI Worldwide, where he spent several years overseas covering the Asia pacific region, as well as BankOne, IBM and Integrated Research.

“Paragon’s commitment to providing innovative, next generation testing solutions aligns directly with my goals and skillset,” said Gilde. “Decades of experience in the payments industry have taught me to always value companies that take the long view. With customer needs and end user expectations always a moving target, creating better efficiencies and code coverage in testing is not optional. I’m looking forward to helping our customers and prospects access and optimize the industry’s leading payments and testing solutions to manage the present and prepare for the future.”
