Gresham, the leading software and services company that specialises in providing real-time transaction control and enterprise data integrity software announces the launch of its Innovation Labs in Bristol.

This new space is designed to reflect Gresham’s open, engaging and free-thinking culture, and is the home for the research and development, cloud and global customer support teams as well as being a fabulous environment to co-innovate with customers.

Innovation sits at the core of Gresham’s philosophy, delivering financial domain knowledge and technology expertise through a team made up of experienced minds with deep industry skills, and some of the brightest young talent in technology. Strong investment in R&D, and exceptional customer focus, is the driving force behind the continued success of its flagship Clareti enterprise data integrity platform.

The Innovation Labs are set up to allow the team of engineers and developers, led by CTO Neil Vernon to deliver in a culture of test driven development, exploiting the latest advances in technology. This is underpinned by a ‘test and learn’ culture, using Kanban as an overarching agile methodology to deliver innovation with the high quality required by clients. Employees do not have specific job titles, giving them the opportunity to flex across different functions and areas of expertise, as well as take a proactive approach to shaping their own role. Projects are built around this bright, motivated team, nurturing internal ability and helping to attract top quality talent.

The new office space has state of the art video conferencing, stand up meeting rooms and plenty of break out areas to foster collaboration. It also provides room for further expansion; as well the Clareti R&D team, the innovation labs are also home to a global support team led by the newly appointed global director of customer success and service delivery, David Eagan. Gresham also been running a Graduate program for the last 5 years, nurturing new tech talent and has hired 5 graduates into direct entry roles this year, plus an apprentice, giving them the opportunity to put their learning into practice immediately alongside experienced teams.

The team has built links with Bristol University, the University of Western England, and other universities in the South West, delivering lunch and learn sessions to finals graduates, and playing an active role in technology forums and IT “meet ups” in the city.

Neil Vernon, CTO Gresham says: “I am a big believer in the ‘serendipity of collisions’ – this new space is perfectly set up to allow the sort of exciting collaborations that really make the technology fly as we build our global business. When it comes to innovation, Gresham really is in a unique position to ‘rip up the rule book’ for data integrity technology. It’s exciting to announce the official launch of our Innovation Lab, to serve as a home to our growing team as they continue working to innovate hand in hand with our customers.”
