Wincor Nixdorf will be delivering additional services to Kreissparkasse Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Paper replenishment orders for the bank's 25 account statement printers and service terminals will be completely automated within the framework of Wincor Nixdorf's Managed Print portfolio.

This will relieve employees at the branches of the need to perform routine replenishment tasks, reduce the bank's storage costs and ensure the availability of the printers. This contract is due to run for five years.

In detail, the contract envisions the connection of all the bank's account statement printers to the Wincor Nixdorf Customer Care Center via the German Sparkasse organization's online network. As soon as a defined amount of paper has been used up, the printer automatically notifies the Customer Care Center and initiates an online paper replenishment order. The rapid identification of replenishment needs and fast, automated replenishment orders ensure that the printers themselves maintain a very level of availability.

Paper is delivered directly to the printer's location by a Sparkasse logistics partner. Kreissparkasse Garmisch-Partenkirchen had already decided to manage consumables provision to its branches in the future on a just-in-time basis through a logistics partner, since this eliminates the need for a centrally managed material inventory. This approach will also apply in the future to paper supply for the account statement printers.

Wincor Nixdorf has enjoyed a close, successful partnership with Kreissparkasse Garmisch-Partenkirchen for more than twenty years. "It's important to us that our self-service systems are available to our bank customers around the clock. Wincor Nixdorf's Remote Service offer convinced us, and in addition to superior availability we can also reduce our material management costs," explains Hermann Eichberger of Kreissparkasse Garmisch Partenkirchen.
