The Fintech Circle launch event will take place at Canary Wharf accelerator space Level39 next week. Chisti's ambition is to create a vetted and curated network of investors, business leaders and influencers who are prepared to act as angel investors and/or Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) to fintech startups.

Companies pitching to Circle members can be at proof of concept, seed, pre- or early revenues stage and capable of achieving high growth and a realistic trade sale exit within a 5-7 year horizon. Fintech Circle investments will target an average range of about £75K to £500K per company; where more funds are required co-investments with partner syndicates will be considered.

Fintech Circle will act as a gatekeeper and facilitator reviewing the business plans, meeting the entrepreneurs and deciding which propositions should be presented to all angels.

Says Chisti: "We believe that syndication of angel deals and sharing of information and experience among our members whose skills and experience complement each other, puts us in a unique position to review new fintech opportunities together and select the best as a team."
