German retailer tegut overhauls POS infrastructure with Wincor Nixdorf

Tegut... Gutberlet Stiftung & Co. KG, a regional German food retailer, is completely overhauling its POS infrastructure with cutting-edge BEETLE POS systems and the application solutions TP.net and TP.Admin from Wincor Nixdorf.

Last year Wincor Nixdorf completed the rollout of new BEETLE POS systems at the more than 300 stores of the Fulda-based food retailer tegut... The IT service provider from Paderborn has now also been commissioned to install its POS applications TP.net and TP.Admin on the BEETLE systems. tegut... is thus putting its trust in tried-and-tested, future-proof hardware and software from Wincor Nixdorf. Installation of TP.net und TP.Admin is expected to begin in January 2013.

With TP.Admin, TP.net also offers a convenient means of controlling and monitoring administrative processes.

With the order from the food retailer tegut..., which will replace the existing SAP POS 2.0 solutions, Wincor Nixdorf again demonstrated the merits of its store portfolio to win the bid in the face of competition from well-known rivals. "What swayed the decision in favor of TP.net as an end-to-end store solution platform were its state-of-the-art architecture and the fact that it covers many of the store processes that are important to our business operations," states Benjamin Beinroth, Head of IT at tegut... .

The family-owned company tegut... from Hesse is represented with around 300 food stores in Central Germany (Hesse, Thuringia, Northern Bavaria, Southern Lower Saxony and Mainz).
