Callataÿ & Wouters, a global leader in core banking software and services, is proud to announce the completion of its first project in Poland. Direct bank BGZOptima, a venture of Polish bank BGZ and the Dutch Rabobank, is now equipped with Callataÿ & Wouters' flagship Thaler software.

Direct banking provides customers with a fully equipped, online self-banking service that doesn't require an extensive bank staff. Rabobank was one of the earlier adopters of this strategy and has created various online-only offshoots worldwide to attract new customers with this lean business model. In Poland, it teamed up with a local, well-known bank, BGZ to create BGZOptima.

For BGZOptima's core banking software, both partners quickly settled on Callataÿ & Wouters. "We have worked with Callataÿ & Wouters on several occasions for direct banking software," says Gert Bouwman, Head of Rabobank International Direct Banking, "Our experiences with their Thaler software made them a natural partner for this project."

Callataÿ & Wouters seized the opportunity and delivered the entire core banking infrastructure. "I was impressed with the speed, diligence and dedication of the Thaler implementation," comments Mr. Bouwman, "Callataÿ & Wouters created a versatile, flexible solution for our partnership project that will allow it to serve BGZOptima's customers in the best possible way. They have earned our trust."

"I am always happy when a customer is happy," adds Marc De Groote, CEO of Callataÿ & Wouters, "For us, the successful completion of this project is also important as our first strategic foray into the Polish market. It proves that we're on the right track and that both our product quality and our dedication continue to make a difference."
