Leading online payment solution Ukash has signed a deal to extend its partnership with Spanish partner Telepay by issuing Ukash online through the consumer site Cuponesprepago.com, which has become the first site in Spain to offer Ukash vouchers online.

Users can obtain Ukash vouchers in fixed denominations of €10, €20, €50, €100, €200 or €500 which they can choose to buy via bank transfer from all Spain's major banks.

Enabling Ukash to be obtained from bank accounts is an important next step for Ukash. Recent research revealed that 90% of Ukash users have bank accounts but prefer to use Ukash online as it enables customers to pay over the Internet without the need for a debit/credit card or revealing sensitive financial details. Ukash is available at more than 275,000 locations across Europe and South Africa and be used on a variety of lifestyle, shopping, VOIP, gaming and gambling websites across the world.

Mark Chirnside, chief executive officer Ukash, explained, "We are delighted that our partnership with Telepay continues to grow. By making Ukash available through cuponesprepago.com we are reaching another new group of potential customers and this represents a real opportunity for further growth within Spain."

Patrick Becker, Managing Director Telepay, added, "The Ukash offer is very appealing to customers that use cash as their main payment method and those that limit their online activity due to concerns over fraud, so we hope that this new deal with cuponesprepago.com will galvanise consumers and lead to greater online activity."

In October 2008 Ukash signed a deal with Spanish telecommunications giant Telefónica to make Ukash vouchers available from all traditional telephone kiosks across Spain. In addition, Ukash can be obtained from over 6,000 Correos Post Office), Telecor and Recarga Express outlets across Spain.
