The Sepa imperative

Fierce competition from non-banks entering the financial services sector and a changing payments landscape were strong catalysts for Deutsche Bank's decision to overhaul its payments environment.

Rather than simply making the necessary changes to meet new market demands and comply with Sepa requirements, Deutsche Bank decided to use this opportunity to act on its vision to become the pre-eminent payments and clearing service provider in Europe.

The bank selected Logica's high-volume payment system, Laps, to address a key objective by significantly increasing efficiencies through high straight-through processing levels. Laps also proved support for traditional domestic payments instruments, as well as SCTs and SDDs – enabling Deutsche Bank to bridge the existing payments world with the new one.» Download the document now 549.6 kb (PDF File)
