The world of fintech is set to invade the catwalk at London Fashion Week in September as Visa Europe collaborates with designer Henry Holland on a new range of trend-setting styles that combine fashion, wearables and payments.
The House of Holland will be working with the team at Visa Europe innovation unit Collab to weave payments into design for his September runway show.
Visa says Holland will work with a hand-picked team of craftspeople, artisans and technology providers to use NFC and Bluetooth Smart technologies in his Spring Summer 2016 collection showcase at London Fashion Week.
Holland says: “You have this huge world stage and people are going to be watching not just the clothes we are presenting but the consumer experience we are creating. That’s the aim here: we’re combining a unique consumer experience with a catwalk presentation.”
