Himalayan Bank, a private sector bank in Nepal, has implemented Cryptomathic’s data preparation system, CardInk and OMA Emirates’ personalisation software, NanoPerso, into its production environment to improve issuance across its entire debit and credit card portfolio.

CardInk, the EMV data preparation system from e-security solutions provider Cryptomathic, provides the platform required for data generation and cryptographic key management for the secure issuance of all Himalayan Banks’ payment cards, including credit, debit and contactless. The card data is automatically passed to OMA Emirates’ NanoPerso solution for the cards to be personalised.
The CardInk and NanoPerso turnkey solution provides a personalisation hardware security module (HSM) and card platform independent EMV issuing system, which is used by customers across multiple continents. The system is hardware vendor neutral, and allows the card issuing division at Himalayan Bank to rapidly respond and adapt to changes in market and customer demands without having to engage third parties for the delivery of professional services.
