TfL deploys euro dispensing ATMs at tube stations

Transport for London has teamed up with Raphaels Bank to install cash machines which dispense both pounds and euros at tube stations.

UK cardholders will be able to withdraw sterling for free and euros commission free from 70 cash points on the London Underground network, including at Waterloo, London Bridge and King's Cross St Pancras stations. A website to help people find the machines has also been developed.

Citing a Raphaels-commissioned survey of 2000 travellers which found that only 62% buy currency in advance of holidays, TfL says that the service has been designed to make it easier for busy Londoners to get cash for trips abroad.

Graeme Craig, director, commercial development, TfL, says: "Millions of people use our network each year, including going to or from an airport, Eurostar and coach stations, and these machines have been installed to make it easier for people to access the currency they need."
