Alacra, the leading provider of business information solutions for financial institutions, corporations and professional service firms, announced today the launch of Alacra Resolve.

Alacra Resolve is a completely new and unique approach to accessing and researching all the publicly available entity identifiers: LEI, GIIN, ticker, CIK, FRN, RSSD, and more.

In an industry first, Alacra Resolve provides an instant search function across almost 5 million legal entities in the Alacra Legal Entity Directory (LED), which are updated daily. Alacra Resolve allows you to search by an entity’s name, as well as by a public identifier and return the name (and other public identifiers) of the entity. With powerful type-ahead functionality, even a partial entry will produce results and direct the user to likely matches. Alacra Resolve also indicates whether an entity is rated, regulated or listed, and if it is covered by any of the major financial data publishers.

Alan Samuels, VP, Reference Data at Alacra, says: “The development was initiated partly by client feedback and partly by our R&D efforts to deliver what the industry needs to meet the increasing demands of regulations such as FATCA, Basel II, ESMA and KYC. It has taken a great deal of smart thinking and innovative development to make something so complex work so fast, and be so easy to use.” He adds: “In an environment with increasingly demanding regulation and complex financial data the only way an institution will be able to meet its compliance requirements will be with tools with an Alacra Resolve-type capability. The entry-level version of this lookup is free to use on our website, while we continue to develop even more sophisticated functionality.”
