At PayPal, we’re proud to be one of the most trusted brands in digital wallets across the world. We believe in giving you simpler and more secure ways to shop and pay. And, we want those experiences to be convenient for you.

As one of the founding members of the Fast Identity Online (FIDO) Alliance, we strongly believe that industry collaboration is required to create a future that moves beyond the password. From our collaboration with Samsung introducing fingerprint authentication technology to pay to our recent launch of One Touch ™ for the web, we’re helping you authenticate in more secure and convenient ways. And, we want to make sure you have the best experience possible. So, as of today, you can now log in to the PayPal app and access virtually any part of your PayPal wallet using Apple’s Touch ID in all markets where the PayPal app is available.

Using Touch ID with the PayPal app is easy. When you log in to the latest PayPal app on a Touch ID enabled iOS® device, you’ll be asked if you want to enable Touch ID. After a quick setup, simply use your fingerprint to log in to your PayPal app to view your account, send money to friends, or access your digital wallet. You will no longer need to log in with your password.

Helping you shop securely and conveniently is a top priority. We want to make sure you have control over how you decide to shop and pay – whether it’s using biometrics like fingerprint authentication or shopping online with One Touch for the web – we want to make paying simple and more secure.
