Genscape and Bloomberg have announced today that the two companies will work together to include a selection of the proprietary, real-time Genscape commodity data through the Bloomberg Professional service.

Derived from a combination of proprietary monitoring techniques, expert analysis, and a smart, real-time approach to delivery, users of the Bloomberg Professional service will be able to access a variety of Genscape's oil, power, natural gas, and maritime freight data to easily incorporate industry leading, real-time fundamentals in the analysis process.

"It is critical that market participants stay connected to the underlying commodity market fundamentals for a clear and actionable view of what is driving supply and demand," says Tod Van Name, Global Business Manager for Fixed Income, Commodities and Currencies at Bloomberg. "For the first time, traders and analysts will be able to integrate Genscape's unique data into their existing workflow through the Bloomberg Professional service."

"The combination of Bloomberg's extensive reach and Genscape's unique data is one of the most important disruptions to the commodities and energy space in decades," says Matthew Burkley, CEO at Genscape. "As the global commodities supply chain becomes increasingly complex, we hope to bring transparency and efficiency where it matters most."

Genscape is a technological innovator, routinely accessing tens of thousands of sensors on land and sea – and near-Earth orbiting satellites – to provide the most accurate portrait of global commodity supply chains and often volatile commodity and energy markets.
