Moneycorp, the foreign exchange and international payments specialist, has appointed Andy Reid as Managing Director of Global Payments. In his new role, Andy will lead the development of a new sales channel, focused on large-scale corporate international payment clients.

Andy’s appointment is a part of Moneycorp’s continuing expansion. Reid is the second senior hire for the foreign exchange specialist since its acquisition by private equity firm Bridgepoint last August.

Andy previously worked at Barclays Corporate where he was a serving member of the Executive Committee and responsible for global non-bank financial institutions banking teams. Prior to this, he gained a wealth of knowledge and experience during a long career with JP Morgan, HSBC and CLS, the latter dealing with eliminating settlement risk in foreign exchange.

The experience Andy brings to the role, coupled with the foreign exchange specialist’s flexible technology, will further establish Moneycorp’s growing proposition to internationally trading businesses.

Andy Reid, Managing Director of Global Payments commented on his role:

“Having been involved in the foreign exchange and payments industry for many years, I wanted to join a firm that has the ambition and desire to invest, build and grow. The opportunity to work with the team at Moneycorp presents an incredibly exciting opportunity. I firmly believe there is a gap in the corporate market for an efficient technology led, forward-thinking operation that Moneycorp can fill.”

Mark Horgan, CEO of Moneycorp, said:

“It is a pleasure to have Andy on board. His long association with non-bank financial institutions means he knows our sector well, and his expertise will further strengthen our management team as we continue to grow the business and maintain Moneycorp’s position as a leader in the field of foreign exchange.”
