Passengers of the Busway can pay for their ticket using stored-value contactless cards or their NFC-enabled mobile phone. Wirecard provides the payment infrastructure and services, as well as the integration to the participating Financial Institutions.

TransJakarta Busway operates Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) which is known as the Busway system. TransJakarta is a public utility board, supervised by the Transportation Agency of Jakarta provincial region. Starting on 15 January 2004, TransJakarta now boasts 177 stations over its 12 routes or corridors, servicing over six million passengers per month. Indomora Harahap, Vice President Acquiring Business and Risk with Bank Negara Indonesia, said: "We are offering convenience to passengers by providing e-wallet cards as electronic ticketing. In partnership with Wirecard, we are seeking to serve the growing population of the nation's capital city."
