CFH Clearing is moving its matching, order and execution system to Equinix’s London Slough data centre campus, enabling clients to benefit from reduced latency and cost efficiencies as a result of being based in the same data centre as many of its London-based clients and liquidity providers.

The move is in response to the growing demand for electronic trading which CFH Clearing is experiencing from clients at the higher levels of the market. By moving the organisation’s matching infrastructure closer to its liquidity providers, CFH Clearing will be able to provide clients with ultra-low latency whilst also offering a simple, reliable and cost effective way of connecting to their systems.

According to Lars Holst, CEO of CFH Clearing, “We are continually looking at ways of improving our service to clients in order to remain at the forefront of the industry. Having a presence in Equinix’s London Slough data centre campus, which provides co-located connectivity to London, makes perfect sense for us. We need to connect in the place where all the main liquidity providers are based. By removing network layers and reducing the complexity of the connections, we can reduce network interruptions and provide clients with even more reliability and optimal order execution.

“As one of the top interbank straight-through processing (STP) venues in the world, Equinix is delighted to welcome CFH Clearing to our financial services ecosystem in London,” said Equinix’s Stuart Turnham, Director Financial Services, EMEA.

He continues, “In today’s fast paced financial services industry, companies need to position their systems for maximum connectivity, performance and agility; and CFH Clearing understands that one of the key success factors lies not just in what you deploy, but where you deploy. By deploying inside Equinix, CFH Clearing can meet its proximity hosting requirements while tapping into the world’s largest collection of multi-asset class electronic trading participants.”

Equinix connects more than 4,500 companies directly to their customers and partners inside the world’s most networked data centers. Businesses currently leverage the Equinix interconnection platform in 32 strategic markets across the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific.
