This alliance establishes First Data Merchant Solutions (FDMS), First Data’s direct-to-market merchant acquiring business, as a trusted payments provider to eWAY’s merchant network. With First Data’s commitment to help its clients grow their businesses, the collaboration supports Australian businesses in their efforts to expand their geographical footprint and establish their eCommerce capabilities in Asia.

Mr. Marc Mathenz, senior vice president and head of First Data Asia Pacific, said that First Data is pleased to be able to extend its strong existing relationship with eWAY to help their customers tap into the booming Asia eCommerce market.

“This partnership combines First Data’s innovative solutions, our longstanding experience in APAC, with eWAY’s strengths in fraud prevention, safety and security to bring full service acquiring and processing capabilities for local businesses looking to gain access to Asia,” he said.
